Brussels!

They say that your tastes change as you get older. I must be getting up there, because I’ve suddenly developed an insatiable hankering for Brussels sprouts. I had a great bowl of them at Sides, Hardware and Shoes (the cleverly named restaurant in Los Olivos, CA). Their recipe called for fried Brussels mixed with Sherry vinegar, capers and sea salt–utterly fantastic! The stray leaves were semi-blackened and perfectly crispy. At home, I turn the oven to 350 degrees, coat the Brussels with olive oil, sea salt and fresh cracked pepper, and cook until crispy. Yum!
